Tatiana’s Estimated Date of Release (ERD) is officially listed for 5/4/2028. It will not be that far off before she is released. Tatiana’s re-sentencing efforts are under way. Here’s what she told me.

Hello Alvin! 


Nice to hear from you again! I'm so glad that you've received my Stones/Layers form so soon. I almost forgot it this past Sunday! 

As far as my re-sentening efforts go, I was asked to write to a woman named Carla Lee (she works directly under Seattle's Head Prosecutor Daniel T. Satterburg) when she came to visit the Black Prisoner's Caucus chapter here at the WCCW. That was on March 1, 2020. 

I was not present, but my very dear friend said she wanted me to write to her my story and what kind of time I was given because her and Mr. Satterburg were creating the King County Integrity Resentencing Project. It was specifically for women of color with male codefendents who received equal or less time as them. 

  • I sent her a letter March 6, 2020.

  • The pandemic hit March 13, 2020.

  • Senate Bill 6164 passed on July 1, 2020.

  • I received a letter from Mrs. Lee stating that they were being bombarded with resentencing requests and that I was placed in a queue, to be answered in time. I was told I could start preparing my resentencing packet. That was September 2020. 

  • I took it upon myself to write my prosecutor, Charles Sergis, in August 2020. 

  • I received another letter from Mrs. Lee in October 2020.

  • In November 2020, we were made aware that HB 1282 was going to pass, giving every violent (10%) crime a full third (33%) of their time. 

At the time of my applying, we were still in session, but it seems as if it has not passed. Nothing has officially been announced yet, but those are the rumors. 

I'm not sure exactly if/when I'll hear back from Mrs. Lee or Mr. Sergis. I just know that God has promised me this and keeps telling me quietly within my spirit that He is preparing me for my release. So, I'm here, trusting and standing on that. 

I thank you and greatly appreciate any and all help that you all can and are willing to bring to my cause. I am so excited to start meeting my new family members in Christ!! :-)

We just found out about this interview and book. We love it. It’s an incredibly useful crash course in mass incarceration and the church’s role/response. Please listen when you get a chance. We’re working on how to best implement it into the learning modules.
