SUMMIT NW

Hi friends,

The invitation is out for SUMMIT NW for One Parish One Prisoner: to enter into NEW RELATIONSHIPS OF EMBRACE AND TRUST BETWEEN THE INCARCERATED AND THE COMMUNITIES TO WHICH THEY RETURN—FOR OUR MUTUAL TRANSFORMATION AND RESURRECTION.

We have incarcerated friends heading home to Spokane in the near future—they’ve applied for new relationships, a new community they’ve never had before.

We need team members to write letters, read monthly learning modules, and gather together to discuss, share, pray, and plan. This requires about 3 hours/month for the first phase. After five-six months, re-entry planning will ramp up, the larger congregation will be involved, and your team will lead the resurrection effort.

Here’s the general timeline we’re looking at—each journey is different, but this is the template we’re working from.

Here’s a good orienting learning module—it’s one of our favorites. IF you have a small group, a regular rhythm for processing this together, go for it!
